Get ready for a hound who is sweet yet spicy and oh so satisfying: Burrito! Affectionately known as "B". Burrito is one of GAP's #1 special boys (and stunning, am i right?) and his journey here has been a long one. Over 400 days in fact. B is very sensitive to the world around him and shows a lot of fear in new places and towards new people. What he lacks in bravery though he makes up for in love! Burrito is extremely sweet to the people that he does know, and is almost always seen to be nuzzling into your neck for scratches. He may even be THE most affectionate greyhound we've met. He loves the whimsical chime of our female staff calling out to him and nothing makes his day happier than seeing his fave ladies. Burrito has spent the better part of 7 months in a foster home with a staff member which gave us a good picture of the lifestyle he will suit. B is ONLY suited to live in a very quiet, female only home with no kids or small pets. It is important that there is no men in B's life and we ask that you please only apply if you fit this category. Full time workers are fine though he will need a yard as he often chooses to be outside. Burrito is a social boy with medium to large breeds but will need a proper introduction. B had a young female Labrador sister in his foster home so would easily form part of a pack of cholos, or a single dog. Burrito would benefit from a crate in his new home as he considers it the comfiest, safest place in the home. This may sound like a big responsibility but if you fit the requirements, you'll be welcoming the SWEETEST boy into your home. Burrito is available through our Wyee facility if you would like to express interest! He has recently started behavioral medication to assist him to adapt into domestic life, please ask staff for more information on this.
As well as being behaviourally assessed, Burrito has:
