*Ava has recently gone into foster care with another Greyhound to show her the ropes of pet life. Here is an update from her foster carers: “Ava is going really well. She’s learning quickly about us and we are learning her ways. We’re seeing that she’s quite intelligent and very interested in what is going on in and around the house.” Our special little girl Ava is looking for a very special forever home. At just 3-years-young, Ava is very new to pet life and can be unsure about new places and people. She is looking for someone with the patience and understanding to take things at her pace as she slowly learns how incredible pet life really is. Ava would do best in a quieter neighbourhood and a calm household without children. She loves spending time rolling in the grass, napping in the sun and occasionally tossing her squeaky toys around, but is still learning to enjoy spending time indoors so a spacious backyard is a must. Ava doesn’t mind spending the day enjoying a bit of me-time while her humans are out, so full time workers are suitable. Ava tends to feel more confident in herself with another dog around, so if you happen to already have a medium-large canine at home she would be just fine sharing her new space with them. Food is definitely the way to Ava’s heart and she can be entertained easily with a yummy stuffed Kong, treat scatters in the grass or a pig’s ear. Ava does enjoy a stroll around the block but would prefer to start with shorter walks perhaps with some of those tasty treaties along the way.
